Daily replenishment decisions relied on large spreadsheets, manual copying and email-based follow-up. The process was difficult to audit, slow to manage and vulnerable to duplicated or missed actions across planners and buyers.

The approach

From problem to working solution.

  • Mapped the existing planning, buyer review, purchase order and escalation process.
  • Designed a browser-based workflow around planners, buyers and immutable daily upload batches.
  • Created ownership, status tracking, notes, audit events and workflow notifications.
  • Introduced stock-cover, urgency and exception filters to focus attention on the highest-risk items.
